While there is more choice than ever in UK supermarkets for dairy-free ice cream, sometimes it’s nice to make your own.
By far the quickest and easiest of the dairy-free ice cream to make at home, is from frozen banana. This ice cream alternative (or ‘nice cream’) is brilliant – it only takes a few minutes to make, can usually be eaten right away, and you won’t need to churn or refreeze it to make it set. This could easily be your new summer go-to dessert!

Banana, when frozen, doesn’t have an overpowering taste or smell, and mixed with strong flavours like chocolate or peanut butter, it makes an amazing quick and easy dessert. There is only one ingredient for the base nice cream which is, you guessed it – frozen banana. The rest depends on you.
